Andrew Jackson as Everard

You know, more than once in a while, I'll run into someone. They'll happen to sit beside me on a bus bench, or I'll brush shoulders with them on a sidewalk. I see them from a distance, and something about their face captivates me. I find something unique about it, some kind of quality I can't define that draws me to them; and makes me want to ask if I could please sketch them quickly. I never ask anyone, of course, cause I'm way too shy and that would just be plain creepy.
But as I was working this summer, one of the many jobs I was rotated through involved the handling and transactions of chash (aka, clerk). The place I worked was a big tourism hotspot, so we'd take american money as well as canadian. Now, I have no idea who Andrew Jackson is, or what part he played in American history. I just felt that artist's attraction in the face on the american 20. So, I found another picture, and drew the portait.

I know it isn't a perfect likeness or whatever, but I changed bits and pieces. I think I liked that face so much because it was exactly what I'd imagined for one of my characters... You're prolly all thinking 'BLASPHEMY!'. I know. But I don't care. This face was exactly what I was looking for, and since A.J. has been dead for gosh knows how long, and his picture is common, there was no awkwardness involved like when i saw the person in the street. So, HA.

I just jotted the vague likeness as shown on the 20 onto a piece of paper, and since i did that, I didn't have any strict shading to go by: I had to make a lot of it up. >> I screwed with the clothing too, did you notice?
